The concept of mobile camping is the traditional East African safari. The guest experiences a close to nature safari which makes for a more exciting time all round. The Mobile tented camps are set up in private and exclusive campsites. The camping crew and equipment travel separately on a support vehicle ahead of the guests. When guests arrive at the campsite everything is prepared and waiting – tents up, meals cooking, and hot water ready for a wash. The walk-in accommodation tents are provided with two safari beds, blankets, bed sheets and pillows. Wash room facilities are set inside the guests’ tents, and not outside..

Breakfast at the lodge, followed by a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at the lodge. After lunch, drive back to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the mobile camp.

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Proceed driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

After an early breakfast, we descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a morning crater tour with picnic lunches. In the afternoon we drive back to the bustling Arusha town where we spend the night at the campsite.
